Not yet 18 years old, she joins the partisans. During confrontations with the Secret Police, guided by the principles of the medical profession, she cares for the wounded on both sides. As a result of a betrayal she is arrested on charges of murdering hostages - the same people whose lives she in fact saved. Subjected to a brutal interrogation, she does not betray her colleagues. Hastily sentenced to death, she is shot.
